Production and Operations Director

Location: Kocaeli / Dilovası OSB and Istanbul / Sancaktepe

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Position

We are looking for a Production and Operations Director who will lead the operational transformation of our two production facilities for our company operating in the fields of aviation ground support equipment, truck-mounted hydraulic systems, heavy lifting equipment, and special engineering solutions.

This position is a strategic leadership role that goes beyond maintaining the current production setup; it involves restructuring production systems, shortening delivery times, and establishing a measurable and sustainable operational model by eliminating dependency on individuals.

The successful candidate will unify the production operations at our Dilovası and Sancaktepe facilities under a single management approach, embed a lean manufacturing culture within the organization, and lead the development of a production infrastructure aligned with our company’s defense industry goals.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field,

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management; preferably having held positions such as Plant Manager, Production Director, or Operations Director,

* Experience in aviation ground support equipment, truck-mounted hydraulic systems, cranes, lifting equipment, platforms, heavy machinery, or defense industry manufacturing,

* Strong knowledge of Engineer-to-Order (ETO), project-based, or high-engineering production models,

* Experience managing multi-location operations involving diverse production disciplines,

* Proven track record of achieving tangible results in lean manufacturing, VSM, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, and continuous improvement practices,

* Active involvement in the implementation, development, or effective use of ERP/MRP systems,

* Strong experience in production planning, quality, cost, capacity, delivery, and performance management,

* Demonstrates strong leadership skills, decisiveness in change management, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

* Plan and manage all operations of the Dilovası and Sancaktepe production facilities under a unified management system,

* Improve quality, efficiency, and occupational safety standards across welding, machining, painting, mechanical assembly, hydraulic, electrical, and testing processes,

* Lead transformation projects aimed at reducing production lead times, eliminating bottlenecks, and improving capacity utilization,

* Implement lean manufacturing tools to reduce operational waste, rework rates, and unplanned losses,

* Institutionalize production processes by eliminating dependency on individuals through standard work instructions, process documentation, and digital workflows,

* Ensure end-to-end and seamless process management among Design, R&D, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Production teams,

* Strengthen data-driven production management by enhancing the effective use of ERP/MRP systems,

* Regularly monitor production KPIs, manage improvement actions, and report to senior management,

* Manage the development, performance, and process discipline of blue-collar and white-collar teams,

* Lead the development of production capabilities aligned with the company’s defense industry projects.
