Environmental Superintendent

We are global mining company which has several sites around the world. We are looking for dynamic, pro-active, analytical approached, enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated Environmental Superintendent for our project in Develi. 

Job Profile

• Ensuring compliance to related Turkish regulations, EIA and ESIA commitments, and EBRD requirements,
• Preparing and giving environment-related trainings to employees,
• Conducting regular site audits, reporting non-conformities, following-up actions,
• Reporting incidents (work accidents, near misses, environmental accidents, root cause analyses),
• Preparing internal and external reports and making the communication,
• Fulfilling the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO45001 management systems,
• Planning, coordinating and participating internal and external audits, tracking the findings of the audits,
• Supervising the contractors,
• Accompanying to the environmental monitoring program,
• Performing the assessment of the environmental monitoring results in terms of related Environmental Legislations,
• Conducting environmental aspects analyses, risk assessments and machinery releases,
• Making legal notice timely and follow-up,
• Monitoring of environmental permits,
• Taking an active role to execute the sustainability activities.

Qualifications

• University degree preferably in Environmental Engineering,
• At least 5 years of job experience, preferably in mining,
• Working experience in multinational and English-speaking environment,
• Environmental officer certificate owner from Ministry of Environment and Urbanization (preferably ?3 years’ experience),
• Knowledge about environmental and HSE law, related Turkish and International regulations, implementations, and best practices,
• Knowledge about EBRD, IFC requirements; CR’s and other related international standards,
• Knowledge in management system, OHSAS 18001-ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001,
• Excellent command of English both written and verbal,
• Self-disciplined and self-starter,
• Effective communication and presentation skills,
• Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills,
• Good command of MS Office Applications, SAP knowledge is plus,
• Current valid driver license,
• Living in or willing to relocate to Develi, Kayseri.
