Chief Safety Engineer

Polyak is the largest investment project of Fine Energy Holding - energy business unit of Fiba Group, which is one of the most reputable business groups in Turkey. The project consists of two operation units: Underground Coal Mine and Coal-Fired Power Plant.

Polyak will be the deepest underground lignitive coal mine in Turkey with coal extracted from 700-1000 m deep coal seams utilising fully mechanised production technologies. Planned annual coal production capacity is 5 million tonnes and total coal potential of the project site is estimated to be around 250 million tonnes.

The power plant, with an installed capacity of 2 x 350 MW and annual power generation of 5.250 GWh, will employ highly efficient Supercritical Pulverised Coal Technology.

Polyak is seeking to grow the team bigger by bringing together its high–tech systems with highly qualified local and foreign experts from various disciplines.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Department from a reputable university,
• Should have B Class or upper level Safety Expert certificate,
• Good level of knowledge about Health and Safety Law (6331) and related legislation,
• 7 years of experience in a similar work environment,
• B Class Driving License and driving experience,
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications
• Candidates with Trainer Certificate, SAP Experiences and QDMS Experiences will be preferred,

İŞ TANIMI

• Follows all kinds of measures taken by the company to comply with legislation and company procedures,
• Determines and completes the needs for Safety Orientation Trainings, Safety Refreshment Trainings, Contractor Trainings etc.
• Brings high level of H&S knowledge and expertise in order to design and develop best practices and solutions in a changing mine environment.
• Plans and arranges the safety trainings and provides all the records are kept regularly,
• Controls the material management works related safety on SAP 
• Arranges and follows up the safety monitoring works
• Makes revisions on Health and Safety Document when needed
• Makes sure all the records about safety on field are kept and ready, prepares statistical data when needed.
• Controls all the incident records are prepared properly
• Attends the inspections on field when needed
• Organizes the root cause analyzing process and incident investigations
