QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in related functions
Minimum 3 years of management experience in Purchasing department
Raw material purchasing experience in manufacturing environment and indirect/services purchasing process knowledge ishighly recommended
Excellent verbal and written skills in English
Good command of MS Office applications
Military service should be completed/ exempt for male candidates
Living or willing to live in İzmit

Purchasing strategy
Assure a comprehensive overview on the assigned purchasing area during the strategic planning process at short, medium and long term.
Purchasing management
Coordination of the assigned buyers delegating targets and tasks in line with the inputs received by the management and supervising the activities managed within the team
Take part in the projects of improvement and innovation in the assigned responsibility area, cooperating with Region-Country Purchasing Manager andCentral Purchasing team.
Promotion of projects aimed at achieving efficiency improvements and innovation in the assigned responsibility area, identifying problems/possible solutions, and cooperating with the plants and the other functions at central level.
Continuous improvement at purchasing processes and KPIs.
Strategic sourcing and supplier management.
Effective communication with cross-functions mainly with R&D, Logistics, Planning and Quality.
Preparing and developing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Preparation of the budget and follow-up actual in monthly basis.
Responsible for daily work-flow and activities in the respective department.
Suppliers management
Scouting for potential new suppliers
Periodically evaluation of suppliers performances
Management of exceptions to agreements, in full cooperation with all the other functions involved in the process (e.g.: R&D).
Guarantee of the contracts/agreements and suppliers compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental standards and legislation requirements and with the Corporate Social Responsibility rules.

Management of his/her respective team’s KPIs through business results, professional & competency based development
