We are seeking an experienced Customs & Logistics Manager to oversee customs compliance, bonded zone operations, and international logistics for our Turkey manufacturing facility. This role will ensure efficient import/export operations, optimize supply chain performance, and maintain full compliance with Turkish and international trade regulations while supporting global business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customs Affairs Management

• Handle import/export declarations, customs clearance, transit procedures, and bonded goods supervision within the Turkey Bonded Zone.
• Process customs procedures for material transfers from Singapore to Turkey, ensuring compliance with Turkish and international trade regulations.
• Monitor customs duties and VAT declarations/optimization, mitigating compliance risks.
• Maintain relationships with Turkish Customs, tax authorities, and bonded zone management agencies.

1. Logistics Operations

• Plan international logistics (sea, air, and land freight) from the Turkey factory to global clients.
• Manage logistics service providers, negotiate transportation contracts, and control logistics costs and transit times.
• Coordinate logistics flows between Singapore, Turkey, and destination countries to ensure supply chain continuity.

1. Process Optimization

• Design and optimize bonded zone warehousing, customs declaration, and distribution processes.
• Drive digitalization initiatives for logistics and customs systems to improve operational efficiency.

1. Team Management

• Build and train the customs and logistics team, establishing operational standards and performance metrics.
• Supervise daily customs operations to ensure zero-compliance-errors.

1. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the Singapore Branch, Wuxi Headquarters, Sales, and Production departments to support business requirements.
• Respond to emergencies such as customs audits and logistics disruptions, developing contingency plans.

Requirements

1. Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related fields.

1. Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of international logistics and customs management experience, with familiarity in bonded zone operations and cross-border supply chains.
• Prior experience with Turkish customs practices preferred; knowledge of Singapore trade policies is a plus.
• Proven team management experience with adaptability to cross-cultural work environments.

1. Professional Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in international trade terms (Incoterms), HS codes, and rules of origin.
• Familiarity with Turkish bonded zone regulations and EU trade policies.
• Proficient in SAP, WMS, and customs declaration systems.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Strong compliance mindset, resilience under pressure, and excellent cross-departmental communication skills.
• Demonstrated capabilities in cost optimization and process improvement.
