QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a “Senior Purchasing Specialist” who will be responsible for managing both strategic and operational procurement for our interior fit out projects in Qatar. The role is based in Istanbul but will require frequent travels to Qatar.


Requirements;

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Civil Engineering, Architecture and industrial Engineering and related quantitative fields,
  • At least 8 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain, • Experience in sourcing and contract management,
  • Experience in international sourcing and procurement
  • Experience in import operations and transportation, 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, 
  • Fluency in English writing and communication, 
  • Excellent negotiation skills, 
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and well organized, 
  • Flexibility in adapting to changes in the environment, expectations and priorities, 
  • Qatar experience is preferred, 
  • Construction procurement experience is a must'

Role Description;

  • Coordinate with Qatar Tender Management and Project Management Office for pre and post contract procurement activities.
  • Organizing, tracking and controlling the execution of purchasing process in coordination with respective departments,
  • Creating and implementing sourcing strategies for construction materials, furniture, raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, consumables and specified purchasing needs which support business requirements goals and strategies, 
  • Conducting market research, identifying potential providers, analyzing price trends globally and reporting periodically,
  • Making agreements with suppliers, sub-contractors, etc. to ensure our company receive desired outcomes in terms of quality, reliability, cost and time, 
  • Building and maintaining long term and reliable relationships with suppliers, evaluating suppliers performance, developing alternatives in accordance with company policies,
  •  Supporting and/or leading cost saving projects,
  • Monitoring, analyzing and reporting KPIs to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness, setting stocking policy for raw materials and package materials
  • Setting performance criteria for vendors to ensure project efficiency and following vendor performance periodically,
