We are looking for a “Welding Works Group Chief” in our project taking place inRussia.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant Engineering fields,
- Holds an IWE diploma,
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in managing welding operations in heavy industry projects,
- Experienced in project and site management in Power & Heat, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects,
- Worked on industrial piping, and/or steel manufacturing and assembly projects,
- Advanced knowledge of industry standards and regulations (ASME, EN) related to welding works in industrial projects; familiarity with Russian standards and regulations (GOST) is a big plus,
- Strong proficiency in MS Office programs, MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Russian is preferred,
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams,
- Excellent report drafting skills,
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively coordinate, motivate and inspire a team,
- Ability to work and lead well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment,
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented character without neither losing focus of the project goals nor the sight of the big picture,
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Planning and managing welding manpower in the field within the framework of the given project work scope,
- Controlling mobilization of field teams and subcontractors according to piping and steel activities work plan,
- Organizing on-site operations in accordance with the qualifications and competencies of the welders,
- Determining the required resource consumption for the project and issuing work orders,
- Ensuring that welding applications in the field are executed with maximum safety, quality, and performance,
- Investigating problems and nonconformities arising from the welding process in the field,
- Ensuring effective information exchange with quality and engineering departments and implementing corrective and preventive actions,
- Planning equipment and manpower for heat treatment and non-destructive testing (NDT) processes,
- Ensuring daily reporting of completed welded connections,
- Ensuring control of welding-related materials,
- Ensuring the follow-up and planning of subcontractors,
