GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an Import Planning Specialist to be assigned to the Darıca / Kocaeli location of our company, which is one of the leading companies in the copper industry.

• Preferably graduated from English - language schools and related undergraduate departments of universities,
• At least 3 years of experience in import operations and logistics,
• Good command of written/spoken English
• Import, Customs Legislation and operation knowledge (export operation knowledge will be a plus),
• Able to use advanced MS Office programs,
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Strong human relations,
• Analytical, dynamic, careful and solution-oriented,
• Responsible and prone to teamwork,
• Following the economic developments in the world,
• Male candidates must have completed military service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To prepare daily necessary reports in communication with the relevant departments for raw material planning and to follow up with the suppliers,
• Making operations and other necessary correspondence by contacting foreign suppliers,
• To follow the transactions of copper in the London Metal Exchange,
• To follow the economic developments in the world in order to follow the commodity prices,
• Contributing to the execution of joint projects with the relevant units and consultants in the process of creating the necessary new reports in SAP.

When necessary, to support the import operation;

• To follow up the payment processes according to the agreements made, to carry out the letter of credit and bank operations,
• Doing company researches and receiving offers for the transportation organization,
• Arranging the insurance policy by getting the details from the shipping company when the materials are on their way,
• To follow up and conclude operationally all import operation processes of the products to be imported until they reach the transportation, customs clearance and warehouse,
• Controlling, following up and filing the import department documents,
• Checking the invoices and receipts coming from the customs according to the closing of the declaration transactions, deducting the cost up to the warehouse and forwarding the file to the accounting department.
