Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Safety Lead to join our PTA production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of our process safety management systems specifically for the Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our processes and operations meet the highest safety standards and regulatory requirements specific to the PTA manufacturing. As a Process Safety Lead, you will oversee the identification of potential hazards, the implementation of mitigation measures, and the ongoing monitoring of safety metrics specifically for the PTA industry.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Leading development and implementation of process safety management systems specifically for the PTA manufacturing industry, including policies, procedures, and standards

•       To develop and implement hazard identification and risk assessment processes specific to PTA manufacturing to identify and mitigate potential hazards

•       To Ensure that process safety requirements specific to PTA manufacturing are integrated into all phases of our operations, starting from  pre-commissioning  and ongoing maintenance

•         Providing technical expertise on process safety matters specific to PTA manufacturing to cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance

•       Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis  and corrective actions related to process safety incidents specifically for PTA manufacturing

•      Develop and deliver training programs specific to PTA manufacturing to promote process safety awareness and best practices

•       Monitoring and report on process safety performance metrics specific to PTA manufacturing to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

•       Collaboration with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders on process safety issues and requirements specific to PTA manufacturing

•       Implement and conduct MOC( management of change)  system 

Qualifications:

•        Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering

•   Minimum of 7 years of experience in process safety management in chemical, petrochemical or refinery industry

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess potential hazards and develop effective mitigation measures

•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

•       Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis

•       Ability to lead and influence others without direct authority

•     Professional certification in process safety, such as Certified Process Safety Professional (CCPSC) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is  plus.
