Sefine Shipyard; founded in 2007 and occupying over 240.000 m2 of land for newbuilding, repair-maintenance and conversion, Sefine Shipyard is one of the leading establishments in ship building industry.

Sefine has the technical ability and physical capacity to perform new building of various types of ships such as General Cargo Vessels, Double Ended Car & Passenger Ferries, Offshore Vessels, Search & Rescue Boats, AHTs, Tug Boats and Live Fish Carriers. On the other hand, the shipyard is able to undertake ship repair services up to 120.000 DWT on its Post-Panamax size graving dock and Aframax size floating dock.

We are seeking for “Robotics Algorithm Developer” to join our Advanced R&D Center team in Teknopark Office with following qualifications;

What Will Your Responsibilities Be?

• Analyzing, defining, designing and developing robotics system requirements
• Performing well designed, reusable and testable control system design
• Implementing of software design
• Developing dynamic system model for marine vessels
• Preparing, developing and testing of mobile robotic systems
• Developing and running unit and unit integration tests
• Preparing and implementing necessary artefacts (documentation, flowcharts, database models, architecture diagrams)
• Performing manual and automatic code reviews
• Performing continuous integration and continuous deployment processes
• Mentoring and guiding less experienced team members to improve their skills and vision
• Giving trainings/briefs about software modules and technologies whenever necessary to spread the knowhow
• Supporting the preparation of reports requested by the management team 

What Are We Looking For?

• BSc degree in Control Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent work experience
• +3 years solid experience at robotics systems
• Experienced in Python, MATLAB, C++ and similar programming languages
• Knowledge of navigation and guidance algorithms
• Knowledge of dynamic system modelling and simulation
• Talented in planning, organizing, time management and problem solving
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple leadership levels
• Strong team player with a self-motivation and self-driven mindset and goal-orientation
• Basic flexibility required by a dynamic work environment
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Live or willingness to live in Kocaeli or Istanbul

Nice to Have

• Experienced in AI technology and test automation
• Experienced in Agile Software Product Development
• Experienced in ROS/ROS2
• Knowledge of defense industry and ship dynamics
• Knowledge of SysML
• Published or participated in scientific articles with related areas
