What do I need to qualify for this job?
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or similar programs.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
* Experience in Linux and Unix Environment.
* Experience in Versioning Tools like ClearCase , SVN etc.
* Experience in Oracle DB Administration.
* Detailed understanding of LAN/WANs, internet technology and networking protocols.
* Strong knowledge of networking and systems integration and application and operating system hardening.
* Knowhow in Server HW architecture, storage, RAID configuration.
* Basic knowhow in programming and scripting languages.
* Knowhow on Java, Python and Perl is an asset.
* Solid Knowhow / experience on ClearCase.
* Excellent command of English and/or German.

Siemens Smart Grid R&D as being the central R&D department of Siemens is responsible for researching, developing of the future technologies and products of Siemens Group. As being the integral part of this great R&D group, Siemens SmartGrid Turkey is mainly focused on Development and execution of Software Solutions for Projects on Energy Automation, Digital Grid products and solutions. To accomplish the mission of the group, we are looking for a candidate in Ankara who will perform as a System Administrator for projects in SmartGrid Area.

 What are my responsibilities?
* Design, Implementation, Installation of distributed IT Network & Infrastructure for Siemens Smart Grid Solutions.
* HW server & Workstation selection, Installation of Operating Systems as Unix (Solaris) and Linux (RedHat).
* Configuration and Monitoring of LAN/WAN equipments.
* Implement security services for corporate and customer networks.
* Maintaining &  Administration of Versioning Tools like ClearCase, Svn etc.
* Preparation of technical documents and specifications.

What else do I need to know?
* No restrictions for travelling.
* Military service should be completed for male candidates.
