Technical Document Specialist (Design Engineer)

The Technical Document Specialist is responsible for the writing, distribution, collection, storage, and maintenance of user documents, optimizing the efficiency of the system already in place, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and stored securely, and is accessible to the correct partners within the organization!

The candidate will be required to research, write, and develop high-quality user documentation (manuals, tutorials, videos etc.); coordinate technical reviews, accuracy and usability, participate in project support teams that include representatives from product development (R&D), product manager, customer support, quality-assurance and instructors!

What are my responsibilities?

Technical writing experience supporting complex technical products,

Creating / editing / updating user documents especially installation & operating instructions based on IEC standards,

Illustration, graphic, photography design of related products,

Creating animations or 3D rendering image for related products,

Having the ability to make video footage and editing,

Mechanical design and development of medium voltage switchgear,

Preparing 3D design, assembly drawing, part drawing and material list (BOM),

Collaborating with R&D, product managers, and other writers to transform technical and functional information,

Attending project meetings and coordination with cross-functional teams (gathering of technical information, technical drawings, 3D models, data, photos of the product),

Independent planning and controlling of documentation projects; documentation organization; review of documentation,

Developing terminology and interface texts in user documents.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar fields with design background,
• Strong written and verbal Turkish & English,
• A working knowledge of CMS (Content Management Systems) like Schema (Quanos) ST4 or XML based editing system would be highly appreciated,
• Knowledge to work with 3D modelling programs like Siemens NX software,
• Photo & Graphic editing tools required,
• Able to work independently or in cross-functional teams, and concurrently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment,
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
• Strong willingness and ability to learn,
• Partnership and collaboration orientation,
• No restrictions for travelling abroad.
