Position: Restaurant Hostess

Qualifications
- Minimum Tourism High School degree.
- One year or more of experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel chain.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of restaurant and bar procedures, set up and service.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work on sliding shift.

Scope
- Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departments standards.
- Escort guest to the table and assist in seating and present the menu
- Attend regular meetings and briefings to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
- Be familiar with food menus and wine menu offered in outlets.
- Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by the resorts standards.
- Ensure all mis-en-place for restaurant service is correctly prepared prior to opening hour of service.
- Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.
- Ensure working area is of exemplary clean nature.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Follow opening and closing duties checklist.
- Be present throughout service.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort.
- Maintain an accurate knowledge of all food and beverage activities.
- Always strive to perform any additional and responsibilities given.
- Have knowledge of guest’s likes and dislikes throughout their stay.
- Be polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is represented.
