Stress Analysis Lead Engineer

Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “Stress Analysis Lead Engineer” and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft and industrial engine repair processes, in a technology base located in Gebze, Kocaeli which is being established by General Electric Aviation, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and  TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.). 

Expected qualification, requirements and desired characteristics from candidates are as below: 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering,
• Hands-on finite element analysis skills using ANSYS or other commercial FEA software(ABAQUS, Optistruct, Nastran, Patran etc.),
• Minimum 4 years of experience focused in finite element analysis applications,
• Familiarity with CAD(Unigraphics or other commercial CAD software),
• Self-motivated and eager to learn,
• Solid background in Mechanics of Materials, theory of elasticity and numerical methods,
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Desired Qualifications

• MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering,
• Preferably experience in areas such as aviation, gas turbine or internal combustion engine design and analysis,
• Strong interpersonal skills, which enable a learning approach to problem resolution.

The essential responsibilities of this position are:

• Conduct detailed stress and life analyses with the guidance of experienced engineers in scope of engine certifications and qualifications, design optimization to meet life goals, failure investigations and test capability assessment of engine hardware,
• Provide hands-on mentoring to junior engineers in the team,
• Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis project, prepare and present technical data, to internal and external GE Aerospace customers,
• Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent engineering policies and procedures,
• Become an active member of GE Aerospace global team and share best practices among peers.
