We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of “Sales Executive" to be considered at Tersane İstanbul.
Responsibilities
- Organizing sales call programs, visitings existing and potential clients in order to drive business, pruduce demand, collects inquiries,
- To obtain full knowledge of Competitors products to understand the market place and maximize the profit,
- Sends out the proposals for events and groups more than 10 rooms as per Rixos’s current standards or inform the client by visiting them in their place to convert the business with maximum profit,
- Convinces clients to choose Tersane Istanbul by proper follow up on each booking by using negotiating techniques,
- Preparing the contract and pro-forma invoice, follows up pre- payments,
- To conduct showarounds and menu tasting if needed / Attending pre-con meetings with the client,
- To build strong working relationships with our clients and develop an understanding of their specific needs and requirements concentrating on larger accounts to develop future/repeat business for the Hotel,
- To ensure maximisation of sales and revenue for the hotel by being aware of all sales opportunities within all areas of the hotel,
- Gives out availability and rates for rooms and banquet events in line with targeted selling strategy,
- Entertains the client, prepares and lead site inspections and stay-over as per current procedures and standards,
- Always takes the competition, need period, business on the books and market structure into consideration for whatever decision on a booking,
- Handling reconcliations on daily basis with client. Including commission details.To ensure you,
- Ensuring the team to be more knowledgeable,
- Answers and register incoming calls as per telephone handling procedure,
- Entertaining walk in & site inspection guests; trying to maximize conversion of walk in & inspection meetings to sales leads,
- Welcoming groups and leaders upon arrival and assisting if needed during event.
- Communicating all event and group details with operational departments by attending weekly planning meetings and hotel systems pro-actively. (Distributing BEO’s and Group Instruction Sheets),
- Managing group blocks, enterin room lists to system,
- Cooperation with finanace team in order Invoices to be issued with correct back up,
- Collecting feedback from client about experience and share with relative departments for developments/appriciations,
- Know all the functions of the computer system and eliminate minor errors in the software itself,
- Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and use it to deliver the benefits of the product to the client,
- To obtain full knowledge of Competitors products to understand the market place.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field,
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in hospitality or hotel industry,
- Strong knowledge of corporate, group and event sales processes,
- Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills,
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships,
- Result-oriented mindset with a strong focus on revenue generation and conversion,
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment,
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail,
- Experience with hotel management systems (Opera, CRM tools, etc.) is an asset
- Good understanding of market trends and competitor analysis,
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus,
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments,
- Presentable, professional, and confident in client-facing situations,
- Ability to conduct site inspections, client meetings, and presentations effectively,
- Financial awareness, including pricing strategies, contracts, and invoicing processes.
