We are looking for an experienced and motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join our team at The Grand Tarabya Istanbul, managed by Accor.

Job Description

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the Chef de Partie in the daily operation of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. The ideal candidate is passionate about culinary excellence, eager to develop their skills, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and cooking of dishes within the assigned section.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards and recipes.
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and portion control in all food items.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Assist with mise en place and daily kitchen operations.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie.
  • Support the training and guidance of Commis Chefs when required.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
  • Help minimize food waste and contribute to cost control efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or similar role in a hotel or high-volume kitchen.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP knowledge preferred).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for cooking and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
