As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire Communications Manager to join the Sales Team.

Key accountabilities

 

 

• Work closely with the Director of Brand Marketing & Communications and Department Heads to develop the hotel’s annual brand partnerships and communications strategy, activities, and implementation.
• Is responsible for managing the hotel events calendar to include stakeholder events, PR & marketing activations, include the budget and campaigns. 
• Drive the collation of monthly best of press and written text collaborating with the PR and communications team.
• Work closely with the marketing and digital teams to develop creative and integrated content and programmes to support product introduction, service offerings, new technology and thought leadership. 
• Establish processes to generate a stream of engaging news and promote the operation through the appropriate channels. Work with the PR agency to develop, solicit and place content, editorials, and other key mentions that respect and uphold The Peninsula brand standards and services.
• Partner with sales, food & beverage, rooms, wellness, and retail to develop, confirm and execute string communication around new activations and remaining relevant while developing and following an annual calendar/plan that capitalizes on the relevant events taking place in the market.
• Collaborate and seize opportunities to work with Sales, Digital & Brand Marketing, Catering & Events, and Revenue Management to ensure a cohesive approach and drive synergies to maximise sales and marketing strategies and actions to achieve annual hotel budgets and increase brand awareness.
• Collaborate with HR to develop internal communications initiatives that keep employees informed of company activities. 

 

General requirements

 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, public relations in the luxury consumer, hotel or travel industries
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, Strong connections with local and international media outlets in the hospitality and hotel industry
• Genuine interest in art, fashion, food, travel, interior design, and lifestyle related activities
• Must have strong planning and co ordinations skills, organisation, and communications of projects to different stakeholders
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of management and staff
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; socially adept; detailed-oriented and organised
• Outgoing and confident.
• Fluent English speaking, written and verbal presentation skills.
