The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants, and museums. As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire hire an Electrical Engineering Manager to carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs of all building services and electrical equipment, fixtures, and fittings throughout the Hotel and ensures that they are in good working order.

Key accountabilities

 

• Ensures that all local building, fire, and authority regulations including relevant standards, codes of practice and insurance requirements are enforced and observed.
• Inspects hotel rooms, public and heart of the house areas, to ensure areas are always well-maintained and consults all other department heads regarding maintenance problems and offer solutions.
• Assists with the effective management of operating budgets through cost control, inventory, and labour management.
• Develops, motivates, supervises and coaches Electrical Technicians, AV Technicians; and holds daily Engineering meetings with the team.
• Is on call for any breakdowns of Electrical facilities on a 24-hour basis.
• Understands and accurately follows the standard of service; and implements and ensures the maintenance of the hotel and department regulations, policies and procedures including (but not limited to) House Rules and Regulation, Health and Safety, Emergency Response and Standard Operations Procedures.
• Monitors and prepares consumption report on electrical utilities and takes initiatives to reduce consumption. Participates in the environmental program/activities as prescribed by the environmental committee.
• Prepares monthly reports, charts and data and ensures electrical maintenance requests are accurately recorded and report statuses to the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering with all tasks actioned to a high standard and in a timely manner.
