Job Description

Logistics Assistant

1.       Support all processes, standards and specifications of logistics services in the area of  Transportation (Inbound / Outbound freight, Airfreights, etc ) , 3rd Party Logistics Services and 3^rd party warehouse management.

2.       Follow up the importation and exportation process with our service suppliers.

3.       Prepare all logistics related documents such as Invoice/ packing list/ authorization letters/ certificate of origin etc.

4.       Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

5.       Encourage and Challenge continuously  suppliers to submit supply chain optimization proposals to improve service level and to support overall cost reduction (e.g. in- and outbound freight, custom clearance service and warehousing services) and as a result improve competitiveness

6.       Business Unit support for new & existing projects, business transfers and customized logistics solutions

7.       Supervise the warehouse team and manage day to day warehouse operations

8.       Liaise with suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way

9.       Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods

10.    Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customer’s timescales/requirements

11.    Organize, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals

12.    Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements

13.    Monitor and review operational methods to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative improvements within the operation whilst ensuring continuous customer service

14.    Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

·         Robust experience in supply chain management activities in the it sector , especially in the area of international transports , warehouse management and customs services.

·         Experience in international trading operations : documentation, payment and delivery terms, (INCOTERMS) in international trade and logistics transactions.

·         Demonstrate high personal motivation and ability to develop practical or innovative alternative approaches to meet objectives.

• Able to work under time pressure and strict deadlines.
• Able to accept the necessary responsibility changes in line with company’s requirement.

·         High analytical skills and willing to achieve results in a team environment.

·         Master or bachelor degree in business administration or engineering combined with background in Logistics or equivalent qualification

·         2-3 years experience in similar positions

·         Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 level is required)

·         Advance knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
