About the Role
We are looking for a Key Account Specialist to join our team in the international Ro-Ro shipping industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end operational processes for our OEM customers while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction through effective commercial and operational coordination.
The successful candidate will oversee a broad range of responsibilities, including customer registration and documentation management, coordination of loading and discharge operations, contract and revenue tracking, customer experience management, and operational performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end operational processes for OEM customers.
- Create and maintain customer records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Plan cargo allocations based on vessel capacity and manage customer booking requests.
- Create job orders and enter customer orders accurately into the ERP system.
- Request, review, and manage shipping documents, including loading lists, Bill of Lading instructions, and other operational documentation.
- Coordinate customer-requested changes with the relevant operational teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage and resolve operational issues arising during loading and discharge operations.
- Coordinate Draft and Final Bill of Lading approval processes with customers.
- Keep customers informed of vessel movements, ETA updates, and operational developments throughout the voyage.
- Coordinate additional service requests with the relevant internal departments.
- Manage cargo release processes and obtain the necessary customer approvals.
- Monitor expected revenues and ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Track customer forecasts and communicate any deviations to the relevant departments.
- Record customer complaints in the ERP system and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain customer activities and meeting records in the CRM system and participate in customer meetings.
- Monitor and report KPIs while contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferably 2–5 years of experience in customer management, operations, logistics, maritime transportation, or international trade.
- Knowledge of Ro-Ro, PCTC, ocean freight, or automotive logistics operations is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with experience using ERP and CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and operational follow-up skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and coordination abilities.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate successfully within cross-functional teams.
