About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Tender Specialist to join our Commercial team in an international Ro-Ro shipping company.
In this role, you will support pricing strategies, manage tender processes, and contribute to the commercial evaluation of new business opportunities. Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams, you will play a key role in preparing competitive proposals, conducting commercial analyses, and ensuring that tender submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends, economic developments, and foreign exchange fluctuations to support pricing analyses and commercial decision-making.
- Prepare short- and long-term pricing proposals for existing and prospective customers in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Support feasibility studies for new trade lanes by conducting commercial and operational analyses together with Line Managers.
- Monitor public and private tender opportunities and coordinate the end-to-end tender preparation process.
- Prepare, compile, and submit tender documentation, ensuring all required information is complete and delivered within deadlines.
- Coordinate with the Legal Department to ensure tender documentation complies with contractual and legal requirements.
- Track submitted tenders, prepare status reports, and perform post-tender analyses to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate the communication of awarded tender information to relevant departments and ensure proper documentation and record management.
- Prepare commercial reports, pricing analyses, and presentations to support business decisions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalization of pricing and tender management processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations throughout all tender activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in tender management, pricing, commercial analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the logistics, shipping, transportation, or automotive industry.
- Knowledge of tender preparation processes and commercial documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with CRM systems is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
