Job Responsibilities

• Controlling the accounting records are in line with local laws, globally acceptable practices, and company procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely of company accounting activities such as month end closing
• Manage balance sheets/P&L statements and assist to prepare internal and external accounting/management reports periodically
• Work closely with our outsourced corporate services firm/accounting services firm on audit/compliance matters
• Support budgeting, forecasting and other ad-hoc reporting as required
• Assist with other administrative matters on an ad-hoc basis when required
• Taking overall responsibility of the business unit for monthly closing, budget, forecast and business planning processes/routines and controlling the month-end closing process of the operating departments
• Analyze any significant variances in operating results to ensure the accuracy of financials and to initiate the corrective or the improvement actions, as needed.
• Prepare journal entries for various accounting transactions
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements
• Review tax calculations and declarations
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Work with external accounting firm to issue local financial statements
•  Support the general management activities including administrative process 

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with at least 3 years of relevant experience as a chartered accountant
• CPA/ Chartered Accountant qualification is preferable
• Able to handle pressure and changing priorities
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Solid knowledge of accounting
• Strong analytical skills with a critical and inquisitive
• Highly motivated self-starter and comfortable taking initiative to drive operational changes within the company
• Efficient in using excel for financial analysis and modelling
• Experience in preparing financial forecasts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
• Fluency in English
