QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

WYG Turkey is looking for a Project Officer to be located in project office in İstanbul. The necessary qualifications are as follows:

·         University degree from a reputable university (preferably from Social Sciences),

·         Experience in working in an internationally funded Project will be an asset (especially an EU funded Project),

·         Minimum 2 years of professional experience,

·         Previous experience as a project officer and/or project assistant will be a strong asset,

·         Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel and Outlook),

·         Excellent knowledge of English and Turkish (written and spoken),

·         Having high level oral and written communication skills,

·         Being flexible in working hours and have no travel restrictions,

·         No military obligation for male candidates.


JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Assisting in organization of meetings, preparation of meeting agendas with input from key Project staff;

·         Preparation of meeting minutes;

·         Assisting in distribution, delivery and confirmation of meeting minutes and Project technical and financial reports;

·         Formatting of reports (outputs, meeting minutes, etc.);

·         Organizing and assistance in travel and accommodation arrangements of experts;

·         Project filing and archiving;

·         Collecting documentation from experts on a regular basis; i.e. setting up a system so the experts know what and when to submit documents to be filed and where to find them again

·         Technical and administrative support in connection with the international and local experts working for the Project (e.g. IT support, accommodation support organisation of transportation, typing to a certain extent, etc.)

·         Administering all general Project correspondence;

·         Tracking, scheduling, quality control and administration of official Project reporting (inception, progress, final and other relevant reports)

·         Collecting mission reports and timesheets from Project staff;

·         Responsible from implementation of daily routine activities;

·         Submission of VAT Exemption List and Agreements to the beneficiary/tax office and tracking the approvals of these documents;

·         Submission of “Project Management Tracking Tables” to the Project Coordinator/Manager according to deadlines;

·         Regular reporting to Project Coordinator/Manager;

·         Translation of written materials from various projects (presentations, meeting minutes, reports, agendas etc.) in Turkish and English language and vice versa;

·         Updating, editing and proofreading already prepared original/revised documents;

·         Close cooperation with the experts and technical assistance team to manage daily workload;

·         Close cooperation with the beneficiary, contracting authority and stakeholder institutions.
