We are looking for SVO EDS Launch Engineer for our location in Başiskele, Kocaeli.
What You’ll Do
- Key interface to customer to provide on-site support during prototype and launch and serial production phases of the SVO(Special Vehicle Operations) EDS content on Transit project
- Ensure smooth launch of new products into production, identify, track and resolve build issues
- Represent Yazaki in the front line of the customer at launch and serial production
- Manage SVO aspects of launch for Yazaki at launch site
- Interface to Yazaki engineering, logistics, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure good communication and alignment before and during launch phase
- Ensure excellent support is provided to customer during launch phase and serial production
- Support vehicle builds and advise on EDS package design and systems function issues
- Oversee rework of prototype harnesses and vehicles based on PR’s, STA rework sheets, detail drawings and specifications
- Liaise with customer manufacturing team for resolution of vehicle manufacturing issues
- Provide initial containment action for job stopper issues where possible/required
- Attend “white board” issues meetings, cascade output for actions and follow up – communicate issues back to design team
- Support AIMS process at customer and communicate with design team for timely resolution
- Feedback to customer with design issue resolution (PR numbers, concern numbers, rework numbers, launch management (AIMS) decks)
- Interface to quality team and EDS manufacturing plants for resolution of quality issues
- Investigate and create EDS design proposals for resolution of vehicle level build issues
- Resolve open issues by interfacing with design and drafting teams and documenting the resolution, including using the change control system (WSR’s and BEAMS) for traceability
- Ensure open issues are resolved in a timely manner to enable the drafting team to deliver 2D harness drawings to the agreed timing plan
- Track all launch issues on an issue/rework tracker
- Work with and support EDS Harness Design Engineers, CAD Engineers and R&P Engineers to design and develop EDS harness designs
- Deliver the EDS design according to the program timing plan and in accordance with internal and customer requirements
- Prepare marked up 2D drawings to support design change requests
- Check 2D drawings are in-line with the planned design prior to release
- Review harness designs and check compliance with guidelines
- Adhere to Customer specifications and requirements while developing designs
- Adhere to internal specifications and requirements while developing designs (DFM, Cost, Procedures)
- Attend product design reviews in harness manufacturing plant
- Identify, track and resolve EDS design and manufacturing issues.

- Able to travel domestic & international
- Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring harness drawings and schematics would be an asset
- Understanding of EDS design and development process would be an asset
