We are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Manager for YILDIRIM Group’s metals & mining subsidiary,YILMADEN Holding, to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in total
• Preferably 5-7 years of experience in a leading role in HESSR management

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in related operations (mining, ferroalloys, etc.)

• English must be, and Russian is a plus

• Class-A OHS Expert Certificate, NEBOSH IGC

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Experienced in other International Environmental and Health and Safety Laws and Standards as well as local regulations (International Financial Institutions Occupational Health and Safety policies (EBRD, IFC, etc.))

Requirements:

• Serve as an Occupational Health & Safety Manager for the company
• Establish/develop Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Hygiene-related strategies and submit them to the HESSR Director for approval

• Develop the initiatives of the Head Office (HQ) HESSR department on occupational health and safety and industrial hygiene within the scope of HESSR and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG); prepare Global Operations Procedures (GOPs) and Implementation supporting documents, and provide infrastructure

• Assist in the development of all HESSR objectives and strategic actions specific to the sites of business partners; analyze and report the details of Health Safety and Environmental and Social Responsibility – HESSR (including Environmental Social Governance (ESG)) performances of the sites

• Develop and suggest site-specific or entire YILMADEN implementations and programs that improve sites and overall YILMADEN performances

• Evaluate the implementation of sustainability initiatives, high-level and applicable OHS & Industrial Hygiene implementations throughout YILMADEN and support their implementations by finding possible resources
• Guide sites concerning issues around OH&S and Industrial Hygiene
• Develop regular reports and analyze occupational health and safety and industrial hygiene issues
• Identify areas of improvement in occupational health and safety and industrial hygiene and ensure the development of new programs
• Evaluate possible opportunities in the field of responsibility in line with company strategies and support their implementation
• Request & ensure necessary resources allocated for HQ HESSR studies, and initiatives developed by the HQ HESSR team
• Act as HESSR Business Partner and lead/conduct the tasks/programs mentioned in the HESSR management system and/or HESSR Annual Plan for the assigned functions/sites/subsidiaries (program reviews, organizing and managing monthly meetings, CAPA management, incident management, monitoring of the site performance., etc)
• Provide/lead the studies in the development, implementation, monitoring, and refinement of HESSR (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Social Responsibility) Management System (Global Operating Procedures - GOPs), programs, and training in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 26000, and other international standards
• Support/lead the studies in the implementation/development of the Information Technologies (IT) tool/s used for the management of HESSR activities, records and statistics
• Develop/update and support/lead the implementation of Regulatory & Compliance, Conformance Review & Audit programs to ensure all activities at the sites comply with the local regulations and corporate HESSR programs
• Conduct HESSR/ESG due diligence process and determine and report the risk level by investigating the sites and documents in new site/company purchases, prepare a Due Diligence report
• Follow and guide the site teams on Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Hygiene issues in the sites and make preventive suggestions to the management regarding risks
• Ensure and provide the development and review of the HESSR / ESG KPIs and metrics for HQ, Sites/subsidiaries and functions (department)
• Conduct site visits to monitor the implementations outlined by the Company's HESSR Plans and Procedures and, develop the CAPAs, assign these CAPAs to relevant persons through the information technology applications and follow up the process after these visits, report the process to the HESSR Director
• Review Incident Alerts, Root Cause Investigation and Lessons Learned Reports, and report to HESSR Director and ensure Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) and lessons learned are effectively communicated and constantly applied to sites
• Prepare the HESSSR Annual Plans for the Head Quarter and sites; follow up, provide support and lead when necessary on the planned tasks, and report the situation of the plans to the HESSR Director
• Support the relevant departments regarding the Occupational Health and Safety requirements of International Finance Institutions (The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, etc.) in the financing processes of the planned projects
