Senior Procurement Specialist

Yılmaden Holding, established in 2014, is the metals and mining division of Yıldırım Group of Companies, a fast-growing industrial conglomerate based in Istanbul, Turkey. At Yılmaden, we work together across all business units located in 7 different countries with one objective that is extracting the valuable minerals such as chromite from the ground and turn it into ferroalloys, chrome metals and chemicals.

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, contract management and supplier relations (Experience in metals and mining is a plus
• Self-motivated
• Versatile and adaptable
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Good Turkish and English language skills (Russian skills are a plus)
• Patient, positive, resilient and solution-oriented
• Capable of delivering timely results under pressure
• Strong time and project management skills
• Able to travel domestically and internationally

Requirements

• Work closely with other departments; manage the procurement of goods, services and equipment
• Implement the direct purchase cycle
• Take part in the standardization of materials, equipment and contracts by category
• Participate in dealer categorization and supplier management
• Choose the right supplier and offer by making comparisons considering technical evaluation, price, quality and logistics conditions
• Determine purchasing strategy and negotiate prices
• Perform project follow-up, standardization, ERP (SAP MM) and KPI management
• Follow the sector closely and improve supplier portfolio
• Make framework agreements for ongoing procurements
• Prepare new contracts by using drafts
• Collect Annual Material Requirements Planning information from facilities
• Receive investment project schedules from facilities
• Review weekly reports by receiving them from the facilities
• Hold weekly meetings
• Monitor the supplier database and evaluations by obtaining the necessary information from the facilities
• Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all procurement transactions
• Negotiate with suppliers on lead time, cost and quality to maximize benefits to the company
• Manage contract negotiations with suppliers
• Ensure continuous coordination with the vendor on quality improvement
• Develop, implement and direct procurement strategies to meet cost saving targets. Determine purchasing strategy and negotiate prices
• Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall procurement needs
• Train the team on effective procurement processes and strategy
