We are currently recruiting FOOTWEAR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER  for our Tempe Trading S.A. Istanbul Office structured within INDITEX Turkey organization.


ROLE POSITION:

To provide support to footwear factories in order to ensure all developments and productions on the deadlines and guarantee the development of the collection and the mock-up of footwear samples with the production team and manage communication with brands in Spain Headquarters.


JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide support to the design team with the development of technical lasts, heels, soles and treads in order to ease the development of the footwear and/or accessories.
  • Decide which supplier to use for the footwear constructions by taking into account the type of product and thereby guarantee the final result in terms of overall aesthetic and comfort.
  • Supervise the production process of the initial footwear prototypes in order to provide support to the design team with regards to the rectification of the lines for both development as well as production scales.
  • Search and select new materials for the development of upcoming footwear and accessory collection inline with fashion and latest trends.
  • Update the last database, heights and footwear types in order to ease the flow of information to the design team.
  • Make a deep follow-up of design/production samples, ensure delivery of samples as per a clear plan and deadline and make daily communication with brands.
  • Control all samples and ensure if they are following Inditex/Tempe's quality standards.
  • Monitor production activities/output and on time performance closely and ensure/monitor on time supply of materials in order to keep the ETD.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree 
  • Fluency in English is a must, Spanish is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience on footwear area
  • Good command of MS office programs
  • Being competent at technical knowledge of product (shoes)  development process
  • Knowledge of lasts and heels
  • Knowledge of fitting and strategic footwear lines
  • Knowledge of the development of heels and material options
  • Knowledge of footwear patterning
  • Availability for frequent travel
  • No military obligation for male candidates
