The British Consulate-General Istanbul is seeking an Assistant to join Syria Office team. The successful applicant will need to be a team player with excellent organisational and management skills. She/he will need excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken). The successful candidate will be required to take up the position quickly.
 
This is a fixed-term contract valid for 18 months.
The position includes an initial probationary period of 2 months.Duties and Responsibilities
§  Using a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases;
§  Developing and implementing new administrative systems, such as record management;
§  Recording office expenditure and managing the budget;
§  Maintaining supplies of stationery and equipment; 
§  Writing reports for senior management and delivering presentations;
§  Responding to customer enquiries and complaints;

The British Embassy in Ankara is seeking a Security Guard to join their Security Team on permanent basis. Duties will include access control and searching of visitors. The security guard is expected to display a pleasant and professional demeanour at all times. This role will include shift and weekend working.
 
This position is available immediately. The position includes an initial probationary period of 2 months.
 
 
Skills and Attributes Required
Hold a High School Diploma
Have a good command of spoken English and reasonable command of written English
Have previous security experience
Be able to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
Be able to work under pressure and complete tasks to an agreed standard Applicants should hold a valid Security Certificate 5188.  However any applicant with suitable security experience will be considered.

The British Consulate General (BCG) Istanbul is seeking a “Deputy Counter Fraud Officer (EuroMed Region).”The Deputy Counter Fraud Officer (DCFO) (EuroMed) will be responsible for taking the lead in the examination of complex and high-risk passport applications. The position will focus on the detection and prevention of fraudulent British Passport applications that originate from Europe and areas of the Middle-East. The DCFO will assist the UK Application Processing Centres and the Counter Fraud Officer in Istanbul. They will be representing Her Majesty’s Passport Office for the region and have confidence in engaging with a range of stakeholders, sometimes at senior grades, across the network on a regular basis.  The DCFO will also be required to provide statistical analysis and reports to the Counter Fraud Management in the United Kingdom on a regular basis and administration based work.

Specific specialised knowledge, qualifications or experience are required for this position.  
Essential
Any successful applicant will need to able to read, write and speak English fluently.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate good interpersonal and IT skills.·         Experience of Counter Fraud investigation and/or techniques.
 
Desirable
·         Experience or knowledge of the British passport application process.
·         Counter Fraud Qualification.
