This is a challenging and busy post, which requires a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be required to take up the position on or before 15 December 2014. This is a permanent full time contract. The position includes an initial probationary period of 2 months.Skills and Attributes Required
Fluent English and Turkish written and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Able to work under pressure and within a team
Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
Ability to work flexible hours and to travel within Turkey at short notice

PERMANENT - FULL TIME “SECURITY GUARD”

The British Embassy in Ankara is seeking a Security Guard to join their Security Team on permanent basis. Duties will include access control and searching of visitors. The security guard is expected to display a pleasant and professional demeanour at all times. This role will include shift and weekend working.
 
This position is available immediately. The position includes an initial probationary period of 2 months.
 
 
Skills and Attributes Required
Hold a High School Diploma
Have a good command of spoken English and reasonable command of written English
Have previous security experience
Be able to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
Be able to work under pressure and complete tasks to an agreed standard Applicants should hold a valid Security Certificate 5188.  However any applicant with suitable security experience will be considered.

For S band staff, it’s about being open to learning; developing skills, experience and knowledge by learning from mistakes and wanting to improve performance. Most S band staff would find this competence relevant as all jobs can be improved by learning.

Appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to security clearance.
 
Applicants must be eligible to work in Turkey. The British Embassy does not sponsor for work permits.
 
Male applicants must have completed or be exempt from their military service.
