QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Canyon Ranch is developing our first resort outside the United States in Mugla Province, Turkey. The resort is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016, and will feature 141 guest rooms and 150 privately owned villas. The resort will also include a 107,000 square foot spa, 41 spa treatment rooms and a health & healing department. Guest experiences will include extensive fitness, spa, nutritional, behavioral and light medical services for guests adopting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
We currently have an opportunity for a Integrative Medicine Physician.
Reporting to the Medical Director, primarily responsible for providing medical care to Canyon Ranch guests with the utmost of customer service in mind. Provides clinical assessment, diagnostic testing, and treatment recommendations to patients. Also provides guest and staff education through lectures, presentations, individual consultations, and related media.
Provide direct medical services to Canyon Ranch guests. Provide patient diagnosis and treatment aimed at alleviating or preventing illness and/or injury. Scope of work includes adult care, lifestyle and integrative medicine, preventive care, chronic illness and disease management, minor procedures, and all other areas of family medicine or internal medicine. Participates in interdepartmental medical consultation and education as requested and advises nursing staff of appropriate response to patient phone calls. Serve as liaison with the local medical community and initiate appropriate specialty referrals. Participate in the development of medical services, including protocols, standard procedures, and management of patient care related activities.
Record patient chart entries in Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) format and complete appropriate documentation necessary for data and billing department. Develops and provides educational, value added presentations and lectures to the Canyon Ranch guest population.
Qualifications
* Required board certified M.D. from an accredited medical school.
* Required medical background should be in a suitable field of specialty (i.e. Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Preventive
Medicine).
* Preferred training and experience in Integrative Medicine.
* Requires the ability to obtain a Turkish medical license without sanctions or limitations.
* Required ACLS certification and renewed per requirements.
* Required current DEA license.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a physician.
* Must possess strong clinical skills and be experienced in providing medical care to a large, diverse group of patients.
* Must have an understanding of and an appreciation for complementary and alternative healing modalities.
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
