Ghafari Associates is looking for MANAGER, STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING to join our ISTANBUL, TURKEY office. Candidates will work a HYBRID schedule, with at least 3 days in the Istanbul Office.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Manager of Structural Engineering shall lead/oversee/develop the structural engineering staff. He/she shall have the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for the structural systems.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lead/oversee the design and analysis of project structural systems
• Develop/mentor structural engineering staff
• Effectively present/communicate structural system design to clients, project stakeholders and design team
• Perform related duties as assigned
• Leadership level participation in:

1.    Establishing  project scope, budget, schedule, and design approach as required relative to project manager / client requirements

2.    Quality review of structural construction documents, reports, studies, etc., ensuring accuracy/completeness/coordination with all disciplines/code compliance   

EDUCATION:

• BSc in Structural Engineering; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• 15 + years related Structural Engineering experience  
• 5+ years of supervisory experience

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Analysis: RAM, ETABS and SAP2000 preferred
• Drafting: AutoCAD and Revit preferred
