A Laboratory Specialist ensures that products and delivery are compliance with quality requirements/tested and approved in accordance with documented procedures. Maintain constant emphasis on safety, quality, housekeeping and efficiency. Ensures that all test equipment is properly maintained and that required test materials/supplies are available and used while performing lab functions.

General Qualifications

• • Associate’s degree in Technology , chemistry or laboratory technology or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment.
  • Experience with basic quality system requirements regarding procedures, methods, certification and standardized operations.
  • Experience in laboratory test procedure development, data analysis, instrument calibration/repair.
  • Ability to work with broad range of people.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software and experience with document control, Products in Data Processing (SAP) preferred.

Job Description

• Perform QC laboratory  testing of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
• Uses the SAP for data entry and reporting according to published laboratory test methods and laboratory work instructions.
• Perform customer oil condition analysis and scourability test.
• Uses CRM for OCA and scourability test requests and reporting.
• Communicates any out of spec test data with lab manager.
• Contributes to the development and improvement of work instructions, forms, and records pertaining to the QC Lab Tech’s’ areas of responsibility.
• Maintains a safe workplace and workforce while accomplishing tasks.
• Contributes to department efforts to improve lab function as regards safety and quality.
• Supports problem solving efforts as directed by lab manager
• Follow the cleaning, maintenance and verification of all measurement equipment in the laboratory within a certain plan. Conducting regular verifications and documenting records.
• Systematically store finished product and raw material retain samples in a labeled manner according to their expiration dates.
• Contribute to the preparation of laboratory expense budgets and determination of investment needs.
• Perform relevant tests and report product-related complaints in customer complaints management.
