Safety Specialist

We are looking for a "Safety Specialist" for our global business partner operating in the food industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields

• C Class safety certification

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience with an understanding of quality, safety and environment management systems

• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

• Proficiency level in written and spoken English

• Has field application and technical training experience in risk analysis, technical safety, fire, security, planning and training.

• High problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline oriented environment

• The ability to work closely in a team-based environment with all associates.

• Good communication skills, stress management, high sense of responsibility

• Has a professional vision, will adopt the company’s occupational safety culture and perspective and will ensure its dissemination and sustainability

• Completed his military service (for male candidates)

• Able to stay in Kocaeli-Gebze or Istanbul (Asia)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To fulfill all requirements in line with national and international legislation and standards regarding Occupational Health and Safety and in-house standards and to improve existing system applications

• To fulfill all duties within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No.6331, the Regulation on the duties, powers and responsibilities of occupational safety experts and relevant legislation (guidance, risk analysis, emergency planning, training, board meetings, periodic maintenance, cooperation with relevant units etc.)

• To check compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and general occupational safety rules in the work carried out at the workplace

• Carrying out activities to increase the OHS culture.

• To ensure the integration of the effectiveness and suitability of the Environmental Management System with the parent company and to prepare the necessary reports to inform the senior management.
