Project Design Engineer

A Project Design Engineer, to work under the Project & Investments Department, is sought by Pakmaya, a major food company with several plants in Turkey and one plant in eastern Europe. The successful candidate will be office-based at the Istanbul HQ of the company.
The Project Design Engineer will be preparing electronic sketches, drawings and other technical documents within the governing engineering standards by pro-actively working with project team and effectively be communicating across the organization, both up and down the line as well as with peers.
The Project Design Engineer will be applying his/her technical drawing expertise to -small to medium- size capital projects. This position involves all aspects of engineering drawing fromreading and creating piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and isometric drawings to technically designing and drawing some basic equipments as tank, heat exchanger, reactor, etc.

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering,
• Newly graduate or experienced on related fields,
• Understanding of Food and/or Chemical plant processes and experience in equipment sizing and selection, piping, efficient layouts, engineering calculations, heat loads, ergonomic considerations, etc. are assets,
• Strong knowledge and practice of engineering drawing softwares – especially AutoCAD experience desired, Inventor and SolidWorks also acceptable,
• Familiarity with technical drawing and material standards,
• Good command of English and working knowledge of E&HS are musts,
• Proficiency in SAP is a plus.

• No military obligation, (for male candidates)
• No restriction for travelling when necessary.

 Notice: Candidates will be subjected to an examination on AutoCAD proficiency in the first interview.

İŞ TANIMI

• Carries out detailed mechanical and piping design work including AutoCAD and 3D modeling,
• Responsible for generation of PFD, P&ID and as-built drawings,
• Responsible for creation of 2D/3D equipment drawings and material lists to allow manufacture and purchase,
• Ensures all technical drawings and design files are kept up to date, and stored in accordance with departmental procedures,
• Work closely with Plant’s maintenance teams for the aim of preparing and keeping Project and Procurement Request Forms,
• Technically supports and works closely with Procurement Department to prepare RFQs when necessary,
• Takes proactive role in following-up departmental documentation procedures,
• Give support to Project Engineers in all Capex projects.
