• Delivered integrated use cases from Local Markets to add value to the business using the Big Data Program
• Development of core frameworks to speed up and facilitate integration of Local Markets developments in the Big Data Platform
• Speed of on-boarding data sources and use cases for TR and EU Hub markets
• Expert level experience with Hadoop ecosystem desirable experience with Cloudera distribution
• Hands-on experience working on HDFS, Java MapReduce, Hive, Apache Spark, Oozie etc.
• Experience with other distributed technologies such as Cassandra, Solr/ElasticSearch, Flink, Flume would also be desirable
• Strong software development experience in R, Scala, and Python programing languages; other functional languages desirable
• Experience with Unix-based systems, including bach programming
• Experience with columnar data formats
• You take pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software
• Experience building and deploying large scale data processing pipelines in a production environment
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Desire to contribute to the wider technical community through collaboration, coaching, and mentoring of other technologists

We are seeking a Big Data Technical Lead with the will and ambition to work in high performing Vodafone Team responsible for Leading Digital Transformation in Turkey, reporting to BI Solutions Manager of  Vodafone Turkey.

• Integrate the necessary data from several sources in the Big Data Program necessary for analysis and for commercial actions
• Build applications that make use of large volumes of data and generate outputs that allow commercial actions that generate incremental value
• Deliver and implement core capabilities (frameworks, platform, development infrastructure, documentation, guidelines and support) to speed up the Local Markets delivery in the Big Data Program, assuring quality, performance and alignment to the Group technology blueprint of components releases in the platform
• Support local markets and Group functions in obtaining benefiting business value from the operational data
• Expert level experience in designing, building and managing applications to process large amounts of data in a Hadoop ecosystem
• Extensive experience with performance tuning applications on Hadoop and configuring Hadoop systems to maximize performance
• Experience building systems to perform real-time data processing using Spark Streaming and Kafka, or similar technologies
• Experience with common SDLC, including SCM, build tools, unit testing, TDD/BDD, continuous delivery and agile practices
• Experience working in large-scale multi tenancy Hadoop environments;
• Work closely with data scientists when creating impactful insights from complex data
• Design appropriate techniques for operationalising analytical models
• Design and implement effective data processing architectures
• Work collaboratively with software developers and visualisation experts to deliver high quality custom solutions and powerful user experiences
