Application Development Service Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or IT related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting and developing applications in the higher education sector.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise application development.
• Possess a strong leadership and technical skills.
• Understands and is comfortable in applying software engineering and application development methodologies in a complex multi-project environment.
• Experience with utilizing software development tools and best practices of the software development life cycle; i.e. source code control, unit testing, integration testing, secure code management and analysis, etc.
• Excellent background with one of the modern application development frameworks including
• Java or .NET.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture best practices.
• Experience in detailed use case scenarios, high level and low level design specifications.
• Experience and deep understanding of logical and physical data modeling and relational database technologies.
• No travel restrictions, both domestic and international travel, having an international sense of business.

• Manage the team of specialized developers.
• Manage support agreements with the vendors.
• Form a thorough understanding of university systems and their integration needs.
• Maintain and document the full application architecture and dependencies.
• Contribute in the continuous improvement of the existing university application systems through research and evaluation of latest technologies and best practices.
