Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Coastal & Port Engineer to join our construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, supervision, and technical management of coastal and port infrastructure works.
The position requires strong technical knowledge, field experience, and the ability to work effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise coastal and port construction activities.
Manage the execution of marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project management teams.
Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
Carry out technical inspections and ensure that construction works comply with approved designs and standards.
Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, quantity estimation, and cost control.
Identify technical problems on site and develop practical engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with international engineering standards, health and safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
Participate in site meetings and coordinate technical matters with the project team.
Supervise marine structures, quay walls, breakwaters, jetties, dredging works, reclamation works, and related infrastructure where applicable.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in coastal, marine, port, or infrastructure construction projects.
Proven experience in port and marine construction works is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and technical specifications.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Experience working on international or overseas construction projects is an advantage.
Good command of English is mandatory.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging site conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with quay walls, breakwaters, jetties, marine structures, dredging, reclamation, and coastal protection works.
Knowledge of relevant international standards and specifications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar engineering software.
Previous experience with major international contractors is an advantage.
Candidates with strong field experience in port and coastal construction projects are encouraged to apply.
