Your responsibilities

• Reporting to the Project Office Manager, at Global Grade 13, the key areas of responsibility include:
• Manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers. Formulate plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensure team's compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices and safety requirements.
• To develop and drive continuous improvement activities to improve processes, policies, procedures and effectiveness within one’s area of responsibility
• To defines and ensure implementation of operating guidelines for team
• To drive team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety and quality requirements
• To ensure that the engineering team is adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs.
• To ensure correct assignments of tasks within the engineering team, defines relevant performance metrics.
• To create work plans and cost estimates for engineering work.
• To collaborates with the Supply Chain function to ensure that correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support the engineering execution.
• To facilitates best practice sharing within the engineering team.
• To develops and drives continuous improvement activities to improve processes, policies, procedures and effectiveness within one’s area of responsibility.
• To ensure (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. To guides, motivate, coach and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR polices.
