Environmental Superintendent

We are seeking an Environmental Superintendent to work within the Environmental Department in the mining plants of our company at Kastamonu, Hanönü.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering,
• At least 10 years of experience in the works carried out within the scope of the relevant Environmental Regulation,
• Having a Environmental Officer certificate,
• Experience in Environmetal Regulations,
• Experience of working on EIA and relevant regulation,
• Fluent in English (B2 level),
• Good knowledge of waste management,
• Good knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System,
• Experience in the preparation and implementation processes of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Project (ESIA: Environmental Social Impact Assessment),
• Experience and knowledge with IFC Performance Standards, Requirements among several International Financial Institutions’ environmental and social appraisal requirements,
• Experience is in the mining industry,
• Waste water treatment plant facility certificate (B class),
• Have B driver license and be an active driver.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The role requires working on wide range of environmental projects which will involve interfacing with clients, contractors and other consultants providing environmental management expertise:
• Measurement, analysis and reporting within the scope of environmental permits (waste water, noise, emission etc.),
• Carry out environmental studies in accordance with the EIA & ESIA regulation,
• To determine the environmental impacts and to managing the environmental dimensions and to take the necessary precautions,
• Carry out the operational activities of water and wastewater infrastructure facilities,
• To ensure that all kinds of waste (hazardous, non-hazardous, packaging waste, electrical and electronic equipment, oil, etc.) generated in the fields of activity are recycled in accordance with the relevant regulations,
• Within the scope of IFC and national legislation, air quality, underground and surface water quality, noise and vibration, biodiversity etc. Coordinating and reporting environmental monitoring activities,
• Make technical studies such as erosion control, rehabilitation projects, biodiversity studies, recycling projects and ensuring coordination with relevant departments,
• Take part in coordination and studies on mining waste management,
• Plan the periodic controls, maintenance and measurements to be made in the workplace, ensuring the implementation of the prepared plans,
• Apply the environmental management plan is maintained in accordance with the legal regulations in mining activities,
• Apply the plan and implementation of environmental internal and external audits,
• Apply the organization and implementation of the necessary environmental training.
