Finance Specialist

Main Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Country Controller for both statutory and US GAAP accounting
• Responsible for customer billing process by providing strong support and guidance to project teams
• Responsible for follow-up customer accounts including collection postings in SAP and reconciliations with customers
• Follow-up local part of treasury activities including opening and maintenance of bank accounts, obtaining bank guarantees, controlling monthly bank transactions by ensuring reconciliation between SAP and bank statements, preparing monthly cash flow analysis
• Provide assistance for ensuring internal control requirements are met and provide support during external & internal audits (SOX standards)
• Managing E-invoice and E-ledger processes, ensuring monthly requirements are met.
• Complete monthly statutory Balance Sheet reconciliations for bank and customer accounts
• Participate in monthly tax declarations processes; participate in monthly VAT tax returns, prepare monthly stamp tax returns, follow-up tax payment postings in SAP
• Contribute and participate in finance department’s new development projects and required system changes.
• Coordinate with service providers (e.g. Shared Services, Service Center, Treasury
• Coordinate with other finance functions (e.g. client finance management, legal and contract management, cross border tax functions)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• 3 - 4 + years experience in accounting / tax / outsourcing department of an international firm (Experience in an audit firm will be a plus)
• University degree (in related fields, i.e. Business Administration/Economics)
• Good understanding of local tax and legal regulations
• Good knowledge of preparation of tax returns (Stamp Tax, VAT and Witholding Tax)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP is required
• Strong knowledge of SAP is required
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to process data
• Excellent follow-up skills
• Eagerness and commitment to learn
• Advanced multi-tasking skills
• Fluent in English
