Factory Data Analyst
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, the Factory Data Analyst will be responsible for transforming complex production data into actionable insights. This role serves as the analytical engine of the plant, utilizing advanced data tools to monitor performance, identify operational bottlenecks, and support the sustainability of lean production culture.
Core Responsibilities
• KPI Management & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key production performance indicators such as OEE, cycle time, scrap rates, and capacity utilization.
• Financial Impact Assessment: Measure and report the financial impact of continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving projects.
• Data Visualization: Create and maintain visual management dashboards to ensure data transparency across the shop floor and management levels.
• Root Cause Support: Provide data-driven support for root cause analysis (8D, A3, 5-Why) related to quality and delivery issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to coordinate operational excellence goals.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: Proven experience in production environments, specifically in data analysis, reporting, or process development.
• Advanced Excel Expertise (Very Advanced Level Required):
- Mastery of complex formulas (INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP, nested formulas, array functions)
- Advanced data modeling and large dataset management
- Proficiency in Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, and Power Query / Power Pivot
- Ability to build fully automated, dynamic dashboards
- Strong VBA / macro development skills are highly preferred
• PowerPoint & Presentation Mastery (Expert Level):
- Exceptional ability to transform complex data into clear, executive-level presentations
- Strong data storytelling and visualization skills
- Experience preparing high-impact reports for senior leadership
- Ability to design professional, visually compelling slides with strategic messaging
- Analytical Competency: Strong analytical thinking, planning, and organizational skills.
