An Audit Senior plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records within an organization. They are responsible for examining and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.

General Qualifications

• University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Economics from a reputable university
• Minumum 3 years of audit experience 
• Good command of MS Office applications
• SMMM or KGK qualification is an asset
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of auditing standards and procedures

Job Description

The responsibilities of an Audit Specialist include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Examining financial statements and accounting records to determine accuracy and completeness
• Identifying areas of financial risk and making recommendations for improvement
• Preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management
• Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement audit procedures
• Staying current with industry trends and changes in regulations
• Assisting with external audits and regulatory examinations
• Providing guidance and training to junior audit staff
