About the Role

We are looking for a Multimodal Transportation Specialist to join our team and take an active role in the planning, coordination, and execution of international multimodal transportation operations.

The role involves close coordination with customers, carriers, freight forwarders, agents, and logistics partners to ensure efficient and reliable shipment execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate international multimodal transportation operations according to customer requirements.
• Calculate transportation rates and support quotation and tender processes.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, agents, and other logistics partners.
• Prepare and manage transport orders and monitor shipment milestones.
• Track loading, transshipment, storage, and delivery processes and ensure compliance with agreed timelines.
• Proactively manage delays, border-crossing issues, demurrage, detention, additional costs, and other operational challenges.
• Coordinate transportation and shipping documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor customer and contractor invoices and support the resolution of payment-related issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and logistics partners.
• Support customer visits, business development activities, and new business opportunities.
• Monitor customer and contractor performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to departmental projects and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in Logistics, International Trade, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in multimodal transportation operations.
• Good understanding of international transportation processes and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of customs and international transportation procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM/TMS systems is an advantage.
• English at B2 level or above; Russian is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Customer-oriented, responsible, proactive, and solution-focused mindset.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a dynamic international environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
