The Data Analyst is responsible for managing, analysing, and continuously improving internal data systems and analytics related to agricultural operations and supply chain activities. The role plays a key part in ensuring data quality, system effectiveness, and actionable insights from Grower Management Systems (GMS), field data collection tools, and performance dashboards. In addition, the role leads the training and capability development of data collectors and field technicians to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable data capture.
Essential Job Requirements (Qualifications, Competencies, Skills & Experience):
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, tobacco engineering, agriculture, statistics, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or data analytics certification is an advantage.
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in tobacco production, tobacco related data analytics, data systems management, or business intelligence roles.
- Experience working with agricultural, supply chain, or field-based data systems is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience developing dashboards and reports using BI or data visualization tools.
- Experience working with and training field-based teams or data collectors is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of databases, data models, and data quality management.
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in structured, compliance-driven environments.
- English and Turkish fluency in verbal and written communication is a must.
- Advanced Excel skills: experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlikview, Qliksense) is a plus.
