QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Amadeus IT Services Turkey is the market leader in Airline Loyalty & CRM solutions as well as the leading IBE Provider and we are looking for a candidate as a Software Development Engineer  based in İstanbul Yeşilköy Office.


Depending on experience, the ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, M.Sc. is preferred,
  • Relevant experience developing software in particular in the following areas: 
  • Java and Object Oriented Programming,
  • Java EE applications server such as Jboss or Tomcat,
  • Knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL,
  • Knowledge of Spring concept,
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular.js, Node.js is a plus,
  • Knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) is a plus.
 

Abilities and skills:

  • Investigate new technologies, learn new methods and innovation,
  • Subject matter expert on knowledge of the complete software development lifecycle,
  • Advanced level of written and oral English communication skills,
  • Knowledge of travel industry is a plus,
  • Strong team player with collaborative mindset,
  • Comfortable in a multi-cultural, international organization,
  • Proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • No overseas travel restrictions

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain software solutions,
  • Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies,
  • Model, design and implement databases as necessary,
  • Write and conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with agile principles and Amadeus standards,
  • Collaborate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product,
  • Produce software documentation necessary for the application,
  • Support the stakeholders in Production,
  • Improves software development by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures,


Solution support

  • Support the stakeholders in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management or Product Definition,
  • Work on complex problems using methodological approach to identify problem patterns and root causes and provide a short and long term solutions based on the priority assessments,
  • Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain software solutions for PTR / CR assigned,
  • Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies for PTR / CR assigned,
  • Model, design and implement databases as necessary for PTR / CR assigned,
  • Write and conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines for PTR / CR assigned,
  • Produce software documentation necessary for the application for PTR / CR assigned,
  • Mentor and internal reference within knowledge of Product / Solution within Customer / Projects assigned and implementation cycle,
  • Improves technical support by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures,
  • During implementation, ensure data security by applying Amadeus policies while handling sensitive data. 

Internal Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure the internal process and procedures are executed properly
  • Strong sense of responsibility for company assets, be proactive against security vulnerabilities and breaches.
  • Support Manager  for preparing materials and reporting related to software development
