Summary of the Role 

In PL/SQL Development Engineer role, you’ll be a member of the R&D Business Unit and global engineering community and find a chance to collaborate in the definition of the strategy of the Software Development; technological framework and functional approach in Agile Environment. You’ll also find a chance to work on the implementation of Amadeus solutions in different countries.   

In this role you’ll find a chance to:

Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain software solutions,
Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies,
Collaborate in the validation/acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product,

Mentor and internal/external reference within the knowledge of Product / Solution and the Software development cycle,
Foster innovation and operational performance in the deployment of new functionalities, services and technologies.

About Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in PL/SQL Software Development Engineer role, you’re required to have relevant experience in the following areas; 

2 or more years experiences in Oracle database development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of PL/SQL,

Commanding knowledge and experience writing advanced SQL queries, PL/SQL Stored procedures, Functions & Packages,

Proficiency in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS),
Java and Java Enterprise Edition Technologies, Spring or Hibernate frameworks,
Knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and multithreaded applications is a plus.

Abilities and skills:

Investigate new technologies, learn new methods and innovation,

Subject matter expert on knowledge of the complete software development lifecycle,

Advanced level of written and oral English communication skills,

Strong team player with a collaborative mindset,

Comfortable in a multi-cultural, international organization,

Proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
