How do we describe the perfect match?

• Master (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering (being a Ph.D. candidate or having a Ph.D. degree is a plus),
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat & mass transfer, and fluid dynamics,
• Knowledge and experience in the design and optimization of thermal systems such as cooling, washing/drying, and heat pump systems,
• Knowledge and experience on thermo-fluid transport phenomena, psychrometry, and boundary layer theory,
• Minimum 6 years work experience in thermal systems engineering, design of heat pump system applications,
• Having experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or numerical engineering tools such as Modelica Dymola, Matlab, EES,
• Having the desire to do both experimental and numerical R&D work in a continuously learning and developing manner,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
• Flexible and open to new perspectives and diversity,
• A great team player with a self-initiative mindset,

What awaits you in this role?

 

• We are looking for a passionate Specialist – R&D (Thermodynamics & System Based Modelling) who will join our team at Research and Development Directorate.
• Leading and participating in the projects related to heat pump system design of domestic appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines, drying machines, and various residential heat pump applications,
• Conducting experimental and aligned numerical studies to investigate the thermal system characteristics and effects on the thermodynamic performance of heat-pump systems, efficiency of their components and sub-systems,
• Analyzing experimental and numerical results to develop the related heat pump system and components designs,
• Developing alternative heat pump system designs, algorithms, and new technology applications to improve the thermal performance of the products, in association with the functional quality and energy efficiency, and having proper functionality under various demands,
• Preparing test plans for both systems and components such as compressors and heat exchangers,
• Performing theoretical thermal analysis and engineering calculations on the thermodynamics and heat&mass transfer issues related to the heat pump system applications,
• Following/learning and developing related tests standards,
• Improving digital skills to interpret the experimental and numerical results,
• Reporting, presenting, and sharing outcomes of the R&D project studies across departments and functions.
