Android Developer

We are looking for an Android Developer who will work for a mobile startup enterprise in the tourism industry. This person will support our current product development foundation

Position Summary:

·       The Mobile Application Developer will work closely with cross-functional brand management, UI/UX and creative team to understand business needs, deliver solutions for relevant user-friendly products and ultimately help develop impactful brands.

·       This position is highly focused on designing and building an engaging mobile experience for customers. 

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields,

·       3+ years of experience in mobile application development and implementing analytic solutions in mobile projects,

·       English will be an asset; other languages are also plus,

·       Experience in deploying mobile applications to the Google Play Store,

·       Strong Java skills

·       Deep knowledge of Android SDK

·       Solid refactoring skills

·       Ability to build UI from code

·       Having experience and proficiency in XML and JSON,

·       Having experience and proficiency in SQL,

·       Experience in RESTful API Webservices,

·       Experience in remote API and mobile client interactions in a UI driven software development and ability to design and optimize them,

·       Experience in using GIT and Github,

·       Experience in Firebase,

·       Experience in secure coding

·       Not to be afraid of getting his/her hands dirty with a platform or technology that he/she doesn’t know, and is always eager to learn something new.

·       Builds and shapes an Android app

·       Works with team to build impactful products,

·       Understands customers to figure out what we should be building and how we should build it,

·       Systematically performs complex problem-solving, unit testing, automation and code reviews,

·       Writes high-quality, readable, well-architected and efficient code,

·       Must be open to pair programming, help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them, receive feedback and constructive criticism,

·       Keeps up with trends and technology.
