Trading and Market Model Specialist

• University Degree, preferably graduate of Engineering, Mathematics and Economics Departments
• 2-3 years of experience in an Energy Company
• Business Fluent in English
  
• Basic knowledge of Turkey’s energy market
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic experiences with statistical methods, regression methods
• IT affinity and mathematical modelling (R, python) a plus
• Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) applications, like MS Power BI or R Shiny, desirable
• Database experience know-how, e.g. SQL, advantageous
• Accustomed with time series analysis
• Strong self-motivation, ability to promote new ideas, share them with the team and develop them further together
• Ability to understand and improve cross-departmental processes in interdisciplinary teams
• High concentration and extremely critical view of data accuracy

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct the market nominations (DAM, BPM, IDM) of BEE’s generation portfolio
• Use analytical tools to analyse the optimize portfolio positions, to calculate PFC and to support Sales Department
• Update the Database Management Tool of the trading department
• Support operation, update and enhancement of electricity market model
• Follow the market developments and analyse the impact on trade business
• Participate in implementation of projects for new products and markets
• Daily reconciliation of clearing reports, creation of monthly reports
• Prepare reports for budgeting, hedging and revenue forecasting
