Accounting Specialist

Bosphorus Solar Enerji is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience to join our solar panel manufacturing facility in Muratlı, Tekirdağ. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with Turkish accounting and tax regulations, support tax and VAT refund processes, and contribute to accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting.
• Good command of English (spoken, written, and reporting skills).
• Strong knowledge of the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts and accounting regulations.
• Experience with tax regulations, including VAT (KDV), Withholding Tax (Muhtasar), Provisional Tax, and Corporate Income Tax processes.
• Practical experience in VAT (KDV) refund applications, export-related VAT refunds, and other tax refund processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions accurately and on time.
• Monitor and reconcile purchase, sales, bank, and current account transactions.
• Execute monthly closing activities and ensure timely completion.
• Support the preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports.
• Manage and support VAT (KDV) refund applications, export-related tax refund processes, and other tax refund procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management reporting.
• Prepare the required documentation for independent audits and external accounting/tax advisory processes.
• Ensure that all accounting activities are carried out in compliance with applicable legislation and company policies.
