Paid Turkish Audio Recording Study
We're looking for fluent Turkish speakers to take part in apaid speech data collection project (Project Pine). This is a remote opportunity where you'll have natural conversations with another Turkish speaker while helping improve speech and language technology.
Who We're Looking For
- Fluent Turkish speakers
- Outgoing and comfortable having natural conversations for extended periods (up to 30 minutes at a time)
- Have a stable internet connection and a dedicated external microphone (or headset with microphone)
What You'll Do
You'll join an online call from your own device with another participant. You'll have a natural, spontaneous, telephone-style conversation inTurkish, similar to how you would normally speak with a friend, family member, colleague, or customer during a real phone call.
No script is required — we want conversations to feelnatural, authentic, and spontaneous.
Conversation Guidelines
- Speak naturally and conversationally throughout the session
- Do not reveal any PII (Personally Identifiable Information) about yourself or others
- Avoid toxic, offensive, or sensitive topics
- Speak expressively, with natural variation in pitch, rhythm, and intonation
- Maintain active engagement and natural turn-taking throughout the conversation
- Do not read from a script; conversations should be authentic and spontaneous
Example Topics
You can discuss everyday subjects such as:
- A news event you've been following
- Hobbies, travel, entertainment, or personal interests
- Everyday experiences, opinions, and current events
- Finance, healthcare, customer service, restaurant experiences, or technology
- Stories using fictitious names and places (no real personal or private information)
Session Format
- 2 participants per recording
- Minimum 4 recordings per session
- Location: Fully remote — recorded from your own device
- Session duration: Approximately 3.5 hours
- Compensation: $33.60 USD per completed session
